Most of the time I live in a country with only 2 seasons, and none of them are cold, wintery or even remotely deserving of anything other than 1 layer of clothing. So it’s nice for a while to be reminded of a holiday that grew out of the darkest of days during the darkest of seasons… even if it’s 3000 miles away and OMG-it’s-8am-and-I’m-already-sweating-and-I-could-really-go-for-a-yule-log-right-now.
